Frank Morano is a member of the New York City Council, proudly representing the South Shore of Staten Island’s 51st District. He was first elected in 2025, winning a special election, a primary, and the general election in a single year, and serves as Chair of the Committee on Veterans. Before joining the Council, Frank spent nearly two decades in radio and television, hosting “The Other Side of Midnight” on 77 WABC, and served on the staff of his predecessor, Council Member Joe Borelli.
A lifelong Staten Islander, Frank has served on Community Board 3 since 2013 and has testified before every NYC Charter Revision Commission since 2002, championing practical reforms to make city government more effective and responsive. In the Council, he is focused on delivering those reforms and improving quality of life for South Shore families. He lives in Eltingville with his wife, Rachel, and their son, Carmine.
