Chairman Brendan Lantry


Brendan Lantry was elected Chairman of the Richmond County Republican committee in April 2018.

Brendan has been an active member of the Staten Island GOP for over a decade, managing Get-Out-The-Vote (GOTV) efforts, petition gathering and filing, and campaign finance compliance for many of Staten Island’s Republican candidates.

A St. Joseph by the Sea alumnus, Brendan received a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University – Tobin College of Business and graduated with a Juris Doctor degree from St. John’s University School of Law. He currently serves as President of the Staten Island Chapter of the St. John’s University School of Law Alumni Association, sits on the Advisory Board of the Carl V. Bini Memorial Fund, and he volunteers as a pro bono attorney for Catholic Charities of Staten Island.

Brendan is a former Assistant District Attorney in the Kings County District Attorney’s office, where he successfully tried several Criminal and Supreme Court cases.  He also served as Counsel to former New York City Council Minority Leader Vincent M. Ignizio, Legislative Aide to Senator Andrew Lanza, and District Director to Congressman Daniel M. Donovan, Jr.

An attorney in private practice at Menicucci, Villa, Cilmi PLLC, Brendan has been admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York since 2011. He focuses primarily on civil litigation, including commercial and personal injury litigation, as well as election law matters and commercial and real estate transactions.

Brendan and his wife, Jessica, reside in Oakwood, Staten Island.
